Our Story

Once upon a time ago Tyler was a Folk Dancer at BYU. He happened to be on the same team as my sweet roommate Amanda! Needless to say I heard a lot about Tyler before I actually met him. But when I finally did meet him I remember thinking I have to protect this kid simply because he has the same name as my little brother!! We were both dating other people so a nice acquaintanceship started. Fast forward a few months to Christmastime. Both of us were no longer in said relationships, and Amanda's birthday was right around the corner, so Tyler and I decided to plan something for her and kind of hit it off! About a week later, on the day I got my mission call, (I know we have one of "those" stories) we had our first "date" if you could call it that. We had a Christmas Movie Marathon (now a favorite tradition!!) and pretty much stayed up all night, yes we broke BYU curfew, but I don't regret it one bit!
Needless to say we started to spend all our time together (as soon as I got back from AZ for Christmas break). We met each others families on New Years Eve, and honestly we became the best of friends. Over the month of January we did everything together. I helped him (okay lets be real, I totally distracted him) with all his homework, we drove to Idaho for a wedding, we laughed, we cried, we stayed up to the wee hours of the morning, and come the First of February he drove me home to prepare for my mission. Well after the worst 10 days of both our lives. (let's just say I was ready to throw Preach my Gospel across the room and Tyler was ready to... well I don't know he was just really really grouchy) my sweet daddy flew Tyler to AZ so we could figure out what was going on! After a lovely morning sitting in the celestial room with my best friend we decided to spend eternity together! and on February 16, 2013 became unofficially engaged! On March 23 we became officially engaged and on June 12, 2013 we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful, Utah Temple!!

On September 26, 2014 we found out we were pregnant with our first little bundle of joy and on June 9, 2015 we welcomed our sweet Sophie Leah into our family!!
