Bumpdate

It's been a strange week around here... well almost 2 weeks. Tyler got really sick :( But being the dedicated, hard working man he is, he got his butt out of bed every day, went to work, came home and went right back to bed. It was really very sad. But he's all better now!! Yay!!
I also experienced my first snow day... in Dallas of all places...haha! Its kind of sad how the whole place shuts down for such a small amount... but I'm not complaining!!

Anyway, it's about time for a bumpdate!! Wooo!! hehe we are getting close to the 3rd trimester and let me tell you I can't wait!!! Haha everyday we get a little more excited to meet this little bug!!

How far along: 25.5 weeks!!
Baby Size: Head of Cauliflower (13.6-14.8 in and 1.5-2.5 lbs)
Maternity Clothes: Not really. We did buy one pair of maternity jeans which
have been fun but mostly I just wear leggings and sweats! :)
Sleep: I get up about every 2 hours. It's kind of a pain, and it takes me
a long time to fall asleep, but I sleep really great between 6 and 9 am!
Movement: Baby has started wiggling and rolling (right onto my bladder). Nothing consistent but more and more everyday! {It is an amazing feeling to have a little one moving around inside, but it is also one of the weirdest feelings ever... like super strange!}
Weight Gain: a lot...hehe. Total weight gain is about 26 lbs. I'm feeling like a lot of that is baby though :)
Cravings: Still nothing... I love milk though. I'm pretty sure half of our grocery budget this month has been spent on milk. :)
Aversions: I've finally stopped gagging over hair (for the most part) but raw chicken still grosses me out. {Thanks husband for always cooking the chicken!! and every other meat for that matter!!}
Best moment this week: After almost a week of sleeping in the other room (because Tyler was so sick) I finally moved back into our room. I snuggled into Tyler's back and baby kicked him right in the back! He was a little surprised but it was so fun!! :)
What I'm feeling: Once again I'm just feeling really grateful. Not once have I been concerned about labor or parenthood, but pregnancy freaks me out, there are so many unknowns, so much uncertainties, so many moments of not knowing and doubt, but through each moment I know that my husband is on my side, that our families are supporting us, and that ultimately my Heavenly Father is in charge and that He knows what is best and this is all happening according to His timing! I'm grateful for prayer, and blessings, and the comfort and peace that comes from the knowledge of the Gospel!!
Weird Pregnancy moment: Because my center of gravity is changing (grow baby grow) my upper back muscles are working extra hard to keep my posture good. So every once in a while at night when all my muscles are relaxed a nerve gets pinched and pretty much it's one of the strangest pains I've ever experienced. Luckily Tyler is the bestest, most patient ever (even when I had to wake him up) and he will massage, apply heat, or cold, and just talk me through breathing until it goes away. Once again I have the best husband EVER!!:)

Cruise!!!!! :)

We decided a couple weeks ago we wanted to do something fun and adventurous before baby gets here. Sooooooooooo we found a great deal and booked a cruise!! and let me tell you it was so much fun!! Neither Tyler nor I have ever been on a cruise before so it was fun to experience this first together!
Our trip started as we got to our stateroom, layed down and Tyler got kicked by baby! It was the first time Tyler has felt any kicks so it was definitely a fun start to our trip!
Here we are saying goodbye to Houston!

Our first stop was Cozumel! The water here was absolutely beautifully clear! We found a beach, and snorkeled! The fish were really friendly, in fact one even nibbled Tyler's finger! It was my first time snorkeling, after I got the hang of it, it was an absolute blast!!!

It's hard to tell but the water in Cozumel was really clear and beautiful!!

Our second stop was Belize. While it was beautiful here, it was our least favorite. We walked around the city for a while then found another couple (they were from Argentina, Tyler's spanish came in SUPER handy on this trip!!!) and shared a cab to a private beach.

Our final stop was Roatan! This is an Island owned by Honduras, and it was our absolute favorite stop. We would definitely go back in a heartbeat!! :)

I mean look at how beautiful!!

In Roatan we went to a wildlife preserve. None of the animals were in cages, so there were beautiful macaws flying around and huge iguanas walking everywhere. If you weren't careful you might have even tripped on one. They had this bug exhibit (all the bugs were dead) that was super freaky! and we got to hold a monkey!!! (as we were getting ready to leave the monkey area we heard this rustling and turned around and about 20 monkeys were flying down the side of the mountain. Jumping for tree to tree, it was crazy! They would come right up to you, all curious and wanting to play!)

The Island was about 36 miles long and 3.5 mile wide!

Celebrating 22.5 weeks!!! :)

I sure love this man!!
After the wildlife preserve we went to a private beach, where we had a bbq, and snorkeled in some crazy coral and saw some amazing fishies. Although it is quite freaky when the fish would swim right up to like you were apart of the scenery.... eeekkk!!! :) haha we were sad to leave this beautiful island! (We bought a hammock in Roatan! I'm sooooo excited to hang it up and use it!!! Best purchase Ever!!!!! :) )

We had the best stewardess onboard the ship. She took such great care of us! Always making sure we were comfortable, happy, and that baby was doing okay! Every night she left us with really fun animals, and we always looked forward to what we would find on our bed!

We loved how she would use our stuff to enhance the animals!

We still haven't figured out what this is.... any guesses??

I jumped when we walked in and saw this one! haha it was kind
of freaky!!! :)

Our stewardess told us in her country (which we forgot to look at :[ ) that if a pregnant mom gets lazier during pregnancy she is having a boy and if she gets more productive she is having a girl... hehe Tyler said i go back and forth.... guess we'll see as it gets closer!

The food on our ship was so delicious. So good, in fact, I forgot to take pictures! I'm actually missing all the yummy food!! :) hehe.

Thanks husband for such a wonderful trip, we loved turning off our phones, and focusing on each other for awhile! We've done it once a year since we got married and I think we will keep doing it! There is nothing like spending time with your spouse with absolutely no distractions!!
