Early Christmas for Us!! :)

When Tyler and I got engaged, I was not baby hungry. When we first got married I wasn't baby hungry either (in the last few months I have become baby hungry.. hehe) but I have been puppy hungry... BIG TIME!!! Our landlord doesn't allow dogs in our home (much to my dismay) so no puppies for us. But that doesn't mean I don't ask on a regular basis if we can have a puppy! We have had a running debate with the cute couple who lives downstairs (Dallin and Alyssa... we completely ADORE them!! such a great couple!!). The boys wanted a big dog and the girls wanted a cute little dog. Anyway, about 3 weeks ago, the boys started having secret rendezvous on the staircase, whispering and leaving us girls in the dark. With Christmas right around the corner we didn't ask a whole lot of questions. (There has been a lot of scheming between the four of us!)
Last Monday I had to stay late at school to place a dental dam (because I missed a day of class) and Tyler so greatly agreed to let me place one on him. He got to the school at like 2:15 and I could tell he was anxious to leave... RUDE. In fact after having to redo the dam and asking if he wanted to hang around for a little he quickly said, "Nope sorry, I'll just meet you at home." Yeah I was kinda frustrated. Anyway I got talking to one of my teachers, and between the times of 2:55 and 3:10 I'm pretty sure Tyler called me like 15 times. Silly boy. I finally got home, and he ties his scarf over my eyes, (I'm still in my scrubs and everything) takes me into our kitchen, takes off the scarf, and there are Dallin and Alyssa with two of the cutest little puppies ever!!! Our next door neighbor's dog just had 8 puppies [about 8 weeks ago] and the boys arranged for us to borrow 2 of them for a couple hours!!!
Soooo we don't get to keep the puppies :( but we still have the BEST husbands in the world!!! Una and Luna were their names, and sweet miss Luna slept for like 45 minutes... we tried everything to wake her up but to no avail! Enjoy these pictures of our sweet puppies!!!!

It took a very long time to get this right ;)

Here Tyler is repremanding Una for peeing on our floor! hehe

She seriously slept like this forever!

A much needed vacation... :)

So a few months ago my momma called and said that my daddy had a CME (continuing medical education???) conference in Washington D.C. She then asked if we wanted to go.... DUH!!! Tyler served his mission there, my family has never been, therefore he would be the perfect tour guide... to say we were excited is an understatement, I think we were literally counting down the minutes until we left!!!! Since I love pictures, and I'm a firm believer a picture can tell a story, usually better than words can... here is our trip in pictures (with some descriptions) :)

I don't know what it is but this picture makes me so happy!!

Jefferson monument (as close as we got, I know we are lame)

Sunbathing?

Elder Wilson ate papaya, so I was excited when we found it
in the botanical gardens!!

Tyler's butterfly he HAD to get a picture of... Silly boy!
This figure is made completely out of plant products...
AMAZING right??

Although my dad actually had
nothing to feed him with :(

This is my daddy's new friend...

Seriously, I love my parents!!!!!

Two of my favorite men ever!!!
They are looking up at the Lincoln
Memorial from the street....

By far the favorite memorial to see... So incredible!!!
This is written where MLK gave his
speech... Pretty neat! :)

We had too! hehe

I love this!!! Pretty much sums up what we see in our parents,
always laughing and having a good time,
always supporting each other!!

Like mother....

Like daughter....

We tried to get a picture with the white house...
whoops we missed it... ;)

so we put the shortest in the middle and you can actually
see it!!! We are dorks!

So our hotel was hosting an exhibit call ICE... it was amazing!!! and definitely the highlight of our trip! The trailer was kept at 9 degrees!! FREEZING! By the time we got out my fingers were numb!! So great though!!! Everything was made of ice!!

all made of ice!!!

Ice slides!! So fun!!! (I got stuck... hehe)
Ice Taxi!!

The best part was that the whole exhibit... with all it's colors and brightness, all the fun and incredible talent ended with a simple, white Nativity Scene... Reminding us the true meaning of Christmas!!!

On Sunday, we went to church in a spanish ward Tyler served in!!! (I believe he was there for a year... so everyone was really excited to see him, and he was thrilled to see them!) It is definitely a neat experience to visit the place my hubby spent 2 years of his life devoted to. And to see some of those kids light up when they see him... amazing!!!
Seriously isn't she so cute!! She was sooo
sweet I couldn't resist asking for a picture!

This little one melt my heart!! Look at that
smile!!!

We should have some kids... hint hint ;)
If they keep lowering the missionary age...

this is what happens when you
try to get a picture of Jaden....

The greatest examples a girl could ask for!!
Oh how I love this man!!!!
